Subscribing to Hindenburg PRO
Individual and one-person businesses
- Each user needs a personal account - no sharing, please.
- You can activate Hindenburg on 2 personal computers simultaneously.
- Your Hindenburg application must be activated, while online, within 3 days of your monthly subscription renewal date, to ensure continued access.
- Perpetual licences, or annual Standard subscriptions, must be online within 3 days after your monthly purchase date, every second month.
- Subscription includes updates, upgrades and support.
- Perpetual Hindenburg PRO version 2 licences include updates to version 2.99.
- Unfortunately we cannot offer a refund after purchase, download and activation of a licence.
- You can cancel a subscription to the end of the current subscription period, at any time.

Should you find yourself needing to cancel your subscription, rest assured that the process is straightforward.
Simply follow these steps:
- Sign in to your account
- Locate Products
- Choose, Cancel Subscription
- You will be asked to confirm your decision:
- Are you sure : Yes / No
Will it stop?
I still have loose ends
No, it will not stop immediately. You will be able to use your product until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Additionally, you will still be able to work on your sessions.
Should you decide to return to Hindenburg at a later date, you will be able to open your old sessions without any issues
Transcription
how does transcription work and how is usage counted?
- Transcription engines can only transcribe one audio file at a time. The length of file in minutes that you ask to be transcribed, equals the transcription time that will be deducted from your available transcription hours. Each recording is a separate file. So for example, if you record an hour with 3 guests on 3 tracks, that would result in 3 files of each 1 hour, totaling 3 hours of transcription, assuming you ask for all 3 tracks to be transcribed.
- Transcription is all done locally - keeping your data safe and sound and letting you work anywhere.
- Services like transcription require that your Hindenburg application must be activated, while online, within 3 days of your monthly subscription renewal date, to ensure continued access.
- Unused units of a Service expire on the same date as the associated monthly Product Subscription, or on the same date of the month as an annual Product subscription started (no roll-over).
what if I run out of transcription hours?
- You can upgrade to a higher subscription tier if you are on a monthly subscription.
- We offer transcription packages that can be purchased directly from your account.
- All packages, whether single-use or recurring, will expire on the next monthly renewal date of your primary Hindenburg PRO subscription.
If you are on an annual subscription, it will be on the same date of the month as your subscription started on. - If you buy more add-on packages within the same subscription period, all hours will expire on the same date as the first package.
can I use transcription with a Perpetual licence?
- Yes, we will offer transcription and other services as an add-on to Perpetual licences.
- Add-on packages, whether single-use or recurring, will expire one month from the day you buy them.
- If you buy more packages within the same period, all hours will expire on the same date as the first package.

can I keep using version 1?
- Historical Perpetual Hindenburg Lite and PRO version 1 licensees will have access to that version indefinitely.
- Historical Hindenburg PRO version 1 subscribers will have access to version 1 at least until the end of 2023.
- Please note that support will be limited and we will not be updating the program. With OS updates you might find instabilities.
We encourage you to switch to version 2 as soon as you are able.
